SYNOPSIS
At the beginning of the 19th century, the whites entered into dishonest
contracts with the Native Americans in order to appropriate vast Indian
hunting grounds at ludicrously low prices and drive an increasing
number of Indians out to the infertile West. The Shawnee chief,
Tecumseh, attempts to unite the Indians and declares Indian lands as
communal property at the foundation of a tribal alliance in 1811. But
the whites do not give in.
